Adding Images to Inkfrog Auction Template
Author: Mike
Hi, I'm Mike. I'm the editor, manager and everything else for eBayAppReview.com. I created this site because I know how important it is for eBay sellers to have good software. With all of the options available an eBay software review site is a must.
If you have downloaded any of our many Inkfrog templates you may have noticed that they use a set image height and width. In my opinion this is the best way to go for any auction as it provides more of a uniform look to your eBay auction. All of our templates are designed to be used with images that stand 300 pixels tall and 400 pixels wide. With a little bit of work this standard image size can be changed to anything you like. However you will always want to use all of the same size images and each auction should contain 4 images.
This tutorial is designed to show you how to add images to your auction.
1. Navigate To Images
To get started we need to either already have images in the Inkfrog system or we need to add images. For this tutorial lets assume that you don’t already have images saved. So in order to manage your images you first must navigate to Images in the main menu.
2. Select Upload to Open Dialogue Box
Now you can upload the images that you have saved on your hard drive. Remember that all of our templates require a 300 pixel tall by 400 pixel wide image. Also each template uses 4 images by default and it is recommended that you use all four images. It may be necessary to create a few different profiles for the different size images and number of images you plan to use in your auctions. Otherwise you can do what I do and use 4 images that are 400 x 300 in each auction.
3. Browse and Upload Images
Now that the dialogue box is open you can choose as many pictures as you need and click Upload Images to save them in the Inkfrog system. Once you have images saved in the system you can conveniently add them to any auction.
4. Navigate to The Listings Tab
Now that we have some images saved to the system it is time to create a new auction. To do this we need to navigate to the Listings tab in the main menu.
5. Select New Listing
When we select New Listing the Auction Detail Dialogue box will open up and we can begin to create our Inkfrog Auction. If you have not already done so check out the tutorial on adding a template to Inkfrog this explains how to create a profile with a custom template. When you have a profile created the New Listing button will use your default template as the starting point for the auction. This makes creating your auction easier by eliminating the need to add a template and other details to each auction.
6. Scroll To Pictures
Scroll to the pictures area of the Auction Detail dialogue box and you will be able to choose the images that we saved earlier. The other option is to Upload Images directly from this dialogue box which will allow you to both save images to your current auction and add images to the system.
7. Save Listing and Your Done
Now you can save your work and your new auction will be created with both images and a custom template that look great!
If you have any questions on this process please ask it in the comment form below. I plan to add a tutorial on how to change the size of the images used in the template soon. It is also possible to use any number of images in the template. If you would like any custom work done please use the contact form above to ask for help.
