Add A New Template To Auctiva

2

Author: Mike

Hi, I'm Mike. I'm the editor, manager and everything else for eBayAppReview.com. I created this site because I know how important it is for eBay sellers to have good software. With all of the options available an eBay software review site is a must.

Website: http://ebayappreview.com

If you plan to use your own custom template with Auctiva you will need to first add that template to Auctiva. This is a very easy process that only takes a few steps. This tutorial will assume that you are using one of our custom Auctiva templates but this is the same process you will use with a template you have created.

The steps include…

1. Navigate To Create New

createNew

Once you are logged in you can navigate to the Create New Custom Template by hovering over Listings. This will bring us to a page that will allow us to start editing a new template or paste already created HTML code.

2. Copy the Template File

Copy Auctiva Template

We are going to assume that you are using a template that has already been created. In that case you will want to open the file for your template and select all of the text. Then you can right click and choose copy. Now the template is saved to your clipboard and we will paste it in the editor during the next step.

3. Give Your New Template a Name and Paste the Code

Paste Auctiva Template

Now that your template is copied you can return back to the Auctiva Custom Templates page and give your new Template a Name. Then you will want to move your cursor to the editor box, right click and select paste. Now you should see the code from your template in the editor box. The alternative is to use the custom tags and HTML to create your own template. Our custom Auctiva Templates use the Title, Description,  Shipping, Payment, Terms of Service, About Me and Image short tags.

4. Save Your Template

Save Auctiva Template

Now the only thing left to do is to save your work. You can either save and preview at the same time to ensure that everything is displaying as expected or you can Save As New.
